Move-A-Month Overview - On Jan 1, 2026 Callerlab published its Plus 2026 program of 50 Plus moves which will take effect in September 2026. Many moves from the previous SSD program were moved up to the Plus 2026 list and 8 moves from Advanced were moved down. To get ahead of the curve on teaching the Plus dancers in our area, I coordinated with Kip Garvey and a few of the other callers and came up with the Move-A-Month program. This spreads out the 8 moves over several months to allow for a low impact introduction to these new moves. By July all our dancers should familiar with new Plus 2026 level.
An additional goal is to promote dancers so they can freely move around to other clubs and feel like they are all at the same level. Hopefully avoiding breakdowns as you all work this new material into your programs.
